Congratulations to newlyweds Heather and DJ! Their wedding took me to two new venues, in Harrington, DE. Their ceremony was held at the Asbury United Methodist Church. My previous wedding was also at the Asbury UMC, but that was the one in Smyrna. The Harrington church was smaller, but still very pretty. Oh, and it lacked the flock of church ladies that were constantly pushing me around at the Smyrna church. 🙂 Reception was held at the Harrington Raceway and Casino. As I said, my first time there but it was a great location. Nice spots for images, inside and outside and the staff were great too. Enjoy!
As I was headed down to Dewey Beach to photograph Erin and Ryan’s wedding, it was intermittently raining and the traffic was possibly the worst I’ve ever experienced. Then, as I approached Dewey, the wedding day magic…the skies cleared, the heavy traffic resolved and all was well. Beautiful bride Erin and Ryan (with possibly the most impressive beard on a groom that I’ve ever seen) had their ceremony on the beach, followed by a reception at The Cove in Dewey Beach. Always great food and service there, but I think my favorite part was walking through the outdoor restaurant to shoot sunset portraits, as the band congratulated the bride and groom and everyone applauded – a brief moment of celebrity.
A beautiful day for a wedding, and once again I am blessed to work with people who like what I do, and trust me completely when it comes to doing it. This is just a small sampling of many great images we got. If you’d like to see more, and I know you do, click on over (see links above) to “Showtime >Wedding Shows”. You will find their Rehoboth Beach Country Club wedding there, and more!
I’ve know Cailin’s parents for a while. I photographed Cailin’s senior portraits and more recently hers and Andrew’s engagement portraits. It’s always a bonus on wedding day to have that level of familiarity when I’m photographing a bride. But, even if I’d never met Cailin and her family until the day of the wedding – we’d still be good. Everyone, including her new family, was so easy-going and made my job so easy.
