Hi, my name is Lance Lanagan and I’m the “Big Cheese” (and only cheese allowed) here at Lanagan Photography. As this page is supposed to be “about” me, here is what I’m all “about”. I photograph people at all of the happy times of their lives and I’m blessed and thankful to call it my “job”. But, enough about me – let’s focus on you for a bit. I think if you’ve clicked to read more about the photographer (me), I can already make an assumption about you. We all know what they say about assumptions, but I think this one is a safe one to make.
You make an emotional connection with photography. Certain images move you. They make you feel something, and they help you hold on – to people, or moments…or moments with people. 🙂 You get misty-eyed when you look through your grandparents’ wedding album. You smile every time you look at your own wedding album (although you still don’t know what you were thinking with that hairstyle). In short – you GET it. Well, that’s an appreciation we share. I get it too.
I wasn’t kidding when I said I was blessed to call this my “job”. Besides being a creative outlet, I’m welcomed into people’s lives. I get to create art consisting of the people they love and the moments they cherish. That family art is valued and appreciated now, and will be for future generations. How awesome is that? Also, I am often offered wedding cake, and referred to as “family” – two more pluses for me.
